The City of Lakes Loppet Roll for Snow
What: The Roll for Snow is a non-competitive
bicycle ride, rollerski or in-line skate and picnic sponsored
by the City of Lakes Nordic Ski Foundation. The event is
designed to raise money for snowmaking at Wirth Park.
Where: Wirth Park Picnic Pavilion (Glenwood
Avenue between Wirth Parkway and Xerxes) - across from Wirth
Beach.
Course: Picnic Pavilion - Luce Line Trail - Bryn Mawr -
Cedar Lake Trail - Kenilwirth Trail - Chain of Lakes - Wirth
Parkway - Glenwood (back to Picnic Pavilion). The loop is
about 25 kilometers and there will be refreshments along
the way.
When: July 31, 2005. 9:30 a.m. start.
Picnic to follow. Enjoy the newly completed Beach House
on Wirth Lake across the street from the Picnic Pavilion.
Why: To raise funds for snowmaking at
Wirth Park.
How much? $20 for adults (19 and over); $15 for kids (18
and under); Picnic is free. All proceeds go to the Wirth
Snowmaking Effort.
Door prizes: Include weekend at Rainbow
Resort with the Subaru Factory Team; Loppet entries; Birkie
Entries; hand carved furniture, grand prize kayak donated
by Hoigaard’s and more.
T-shirts: Limited number of t-shirts given
on a first-registered basis.
Registration: Download the registration form or register
on-line at wirth winter home page
(t-shirts on a first come, first served basis - those that
register on-line have a much better chance of receiving
a t-shirt) or register in person starting at 8:30 a.m. on
July 31.
