About the City of Lakes Nordic Ski Foundation

The City of Lakes Nordic Ski Foundation is a local 501c(3)
non-profit organization whose mission is to support and
promote cross-country skiing in the Minneapolis area. The
Foundation has an impressive list of accomplishments:

• Started and runs the City of Lakes Loppet
  
• Has overseen the development of over ten kilometers of
  new trail in Wirth Park
  
• Successfully lobbied for the adoption of the Winter Recreation Area Plan by the Park Board
  
• Helped generate new interest in cross country skiing in
  the Minneapolis area
  
• Runs youth programs including Get Outside! and Bryn
  Mawr Skis
  
• Recruited a variety of private companies and volunteers
  in order to help fund cross country skiing activities.
