Snowmaking is not as easy as turning on the tap and spraying water out of a hose. To construct a ski facility with permanent snowmaking and lights requires a significant up-front investment.

In order to make snow effectively over a cross country loop, it is necessary to have:

• A holding pond for cold water;
• A unique high pressure pump and pumphouse;
• High voltage electricity;
• Buried high pressure water pipes and hydrants;
• Buried electrical cables and lighting.
